Dr Daniel Collins made chairman of Melanesian Forest conservation group

Dr Collins has been elected Chairman of the Melanesian Peoples Forest Conservation Alliance. The group has already been asked to manage the conservation of a 10 000 hectare virgin rainforest on the Island of Bougainville in the North Solomon Islands.
